Please Vote on the Membership Agreement On August 11, we opened voting on whether the Foundation can offer a modified membership agreement to government agencies who would like to join our working groups, but are unable to sign the agreement because it stipulates New York state as the governing law. A change to the agreement requires consent from the members at large. So your vote matters a great deal, since we must have an appropriate return of votes before we can make this change.
Ballots were distributed on August 11, so if you haven't already done so, please return your vote as soon as possible. If you did not receive a ballot, please contact emo@xxxxxxxxxxx.
Executive Director Mike Milinkovich posted to the members-committers list with details about the proposed change, so please look for that email for more information. You may also email Mike or Andrew Ross(Director of Ecosystem Development) with any questions or concerns. |

Be a Friend and Fund Development ![Friends of Eclipse logo]() | Starting immediately, all Friends of Eclipse donations will be used by the Eclipse Foundation to fund enhancements to the Eclipse Java and Java EE IDEs.
The Eclipse Foundation has begun to accept targeted corporate contributions as well. As an initial success in January 2015, Ericsson provided the funds to provide SWT, Mac platform, GTK3, and PDE improvements in the Mars release. A community-based process will be created to help coordinate and prioritize the contributions. |
