ECE 2011
EclipseCon Europe Update | September 26, 2011

Get Ready
To Compete!

Our sponsors are challenging you! One contest is for developers who like to plan ahead; the other is for those who enjoy the adrenalin rush of competing "live" against other attendees.

Pimp Your Jubula

As Eclipse is celebrating its 10th birthday, the Jubula project is celebrating its first release. Bredex is marking the occasion with a community programming competition. Create some code for a Jubula extension, add-on, or integration, and show it off during a five-minute presentation on Thursday night after the Stammtisch. Details are on the competitionregistration page. Spots are limited, so sign up now!

Machine-to-Machine Contest

Sierra Wireless and freeroidz are bringing you the M2M contest. Sierra Wireless will spread sensors and devices around the venue, and freedroidz will bring a robot made of Lego Mindstorms NXT. Design an application that uses all the data – mobile app, augmented reality, social interactivity? It's up to you. Late in October, check the ECE website for details and an example to help get you started.

Early Registration Ends September 30

New this year is an early registration price for EclipseCon Europe. Register by September 30 and save €100 off the advance registration price. We're set for another great conference, so don't delay – register today.

Hands-On Learning:
Which Tutorial Is for You?

ECE 2011 brings a great line-up of tutorials for in-depth education on the latest Eclipse technologies. All tutorials are on Wednesday, November 2, 9:00 - 12:30.

Remember: pre-registration is required for tutorials, at no extra charge. Sign up when you register for the conference. While pre-registration does not guarantee you a seat, it does help us put the more popular tutorials in the largest rooms, making everyone more comfortable.
