OSGi is increasingly deployed in large-scale distributed systems as well as small, embedded devices and applications, sustaining an ecosystem that includes operators, utilities, enterprise and embedded software vendors, and device and automotive manufacturers. Offerings include enterprise application servers, enterpriseservice bus, customer premise equipment and telematics solutions. Accordingly, the OSGi Alliance liaises with other vertical industry consortia and supports joint standardization efforts in industry markets such as Smart Home and M2M. The Alliance supports Eclipse open source projects such as Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools, Gemini, Virgo and the SOA Platform Project.
