Mike, 

I'd rather focus on "technical topics" that can be covered in 3 hours. I think to properly cover contribution, JDT (which has to be addressed by somebody from the JDT team) needs a whole lot more time. 

But it would be great if the topic "contribution" can be covered in a talk. I propose that either Wayne or Janet submit a talk to this respect.

Maximilian and Jonas are actually prparing a multiple-day Eclipse Summer University event that is about contributions / bugfixing / working in open source. It might be worthwhile to have similar events running at more places in the future?
