[eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] EclipseCon 2010 Submission System + Guidelines
|
All - here's the guidelines for submitters. It is in progress,
and not the finished product.
http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseCon_2010_Submission_Guidelines
I'd invite you to have a scan of them and, if you have comments
or suggestions, to please post them to this list. Note we have
retained the "ski lane" concept with the intent of giving yet another
hint to the attendees as they make their attendance plans. Talk
types need to be updated also.
We'll want to be at a 'fairly final' stage by start of next week,
I think.
The submission system itself is running at
https://www.eclipsecon.org/submissions/2010/
in a "nearly-ready" state. If you have a few minutes to spare,
please consider driving it for a bit, submitting an abstract and
that kind of thing. Gabe will wipe the database of this extraneous
data before go-live. Please use [test] in the subject of your
talk just in case we get any keen queue-jumpers coming in
with submissions - we will know what to explicitly delete. This
is a thing we call "testing." :)
I had a chat yesterday with Mike, Wayne around keynotes
and with Mike, Wayne and Ian about marketing. I'll summarize
those in a separate email.
