Aw, they're so cuuuute.  Happy to throw my 60 lb.
lap-collie in for good measure...  He's not a puppy any more, but he thinks
he is.

Scott,
I think Kevin should just settle for pictures of
puppies:

I was led to believe that as part of participation
in the program committee, we would in fact all get puppies.  I guess
its too late to back out now.

  All,
  We have
a new feature on the EclipseCon submission system.  PC members have
the ability to add private comments to EclipseCon submissions.  These
comments will only be seen by other PC members.  Currently the
default is to use private comments, but that should change soon so that
the default behavior is for PC comments to be public.
  So why add
the private comments?  In an ideal world, all communication would be
honest and open: no one would play politics, feelings would never be hurt,
and we would all get puppies.  If for some reason, you have a comment
about a talk that you do not feel is appropriate to the whole world, but
is useful to the PC, you can now use the private comments.
  I see
this as being particularly valuable when assigning the un-allocated slots
and the entire PC will be evaluating a number of talks for a limited
number of slots.  Hopefully it will save on some of the PC mailing
discussions and make it easier for someone to come up to speed on the
      discussion for a particular talk.
  Private PC discussions show up
with a unique color, and the notification mail will be clearly marked as
      private. Scott _______________________________________________
