Jeff,
I think Google calendar allows you to set an entry so it produces a
popup reminder; you can even control how many minutes ahead of time it
pops up. I think such reminders are a good idea; I certainly set it
for any calendar entries I create on my own calendar. Perhaps Scott
would consider modifying the entries to include a notification. For
folks who might not know about it, I use "Lightning" and "Provider for
Google Calendar" add-ons for Thunderbird and it's really quite nice.

Sigh, I too am a calendar loser. My calendar is linked to the google
calendar but there does not appear to be a way to get warnings. As a
result, I worked right through this...
Perhaps Boris and I should cross notify each other to ensure we don't
miss the next meeting.
My sincere apologies.

Apologies for missing the call, I made a mistake when copying
the
Google calendar information to my main calendar. I will make sure that
this does not happen again.
I am only a Java developer :)

Minor clarification. The call is at 10am *EST*
correct? The google calendar has it at that time.

subjects, but great presenters?
- There is no excuse for not being prepared, or not having a good
presentation
- Can we combine good presenters with strong technical experts (who may
not speak as well)
- Do we want a references section as part of the submission system?
- Can we implement a presentation review system? (new presenters only?)
