Sorry that it didn't blow up spectacularly - we tried hard
to introduce bugs that would cause that, but our competence got the better of
us :-| It wasn't perfect (sorry Andrew), but some 500 emails went out to
the authors (not to the various mailing lists). We already have 30+ authors who
have signed their speaker agreements and have received their registration
coupon codes.

Perhaps we (that is I) should send emails to all the mailing lists about the
submission statuses.
I expected to see a flurry of emails. Bjorn, is that
not programmed into the system?
