RE: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] Long talk breakdownbyprojects and the two thematic virtual tracks (embedded and RCP)

I’m not clear on the exact procedure.

What I did:

I used the PC votes once they were enabled (post-tutorial voting).  I added comments only when I had questions.  Comments like “sounds good” seemed redundant with the PC vote.

PC votes don’t appear to be limited, and I voted for things in all tracks.

Procedural questions:

Should I be voting on these? Commenting in bugzilla? Both?

Should I vote as a normal user? Using the PC votes? Both?

Are my PC +'s and -'s limited in number or should I feel free to vote on as many as I want?

Am I limited to voting on only user track things since I'm in the user track subcommittee?

Thanks,

--Ed

From the discussion on the “Developer Track Subcommittee” telecon Monday evening. Partitioning the talks should help us hone in on finalizing the long talk portion of the program. Note that not all of these selections are finalized yet (because in some cases we need project feedback, additional discussion, etc.)

This is a combination of project feedback, guesses (to be confirmed this week at the Council meetings), already accepted talks, etc. (i.e., it’s not a vote).
