Re: [eclipse-mirrors] Mirror that can let me rsync from...

Can you not sync parts of the tree from different mirrors?

For me it's a bit better the the other one, but still quite slow (no more then 6.x mbit)

I'm mirroring different things from all over the world on a regular base, and have not yet seen such slowness due to pipes between US an EU... I have a direct gigabit line to global crossing and have quite good icmp results on their pop in New York.

Once my mirror is in sync, I'll open it up for other to sync from.

Unless the UK people can open up theirs I'm afraid we're not going to be able to sync fast enough to open up for other european mirrors...

I've opened up rsync://europa-mirror1.eclipse.org as an RSYNC server with the same ACL as download.eclipse.org.

It's sitting on a 200Mbit pipe, with ZERO activity. The server is in Canada, but it's not doing anything. Try that and let me know.

Interesting question... if you found one please let me know! I am in a similar situation.
