Dear Working Group Membership:
You will recall Ed Merks was elected as the Committer Member Representative on the Eclipse IDE Steering Committee earlier this year.
Recently, Ed has accepted a position with the Eclipse Foundation as the Release Engineer for Eclipse SimRel in support of the Eclipse IDE Working Group (Congrats Ed) . Ed has resigned his elected Committer Member Representative seat and thus will now only attend Steering Committee meetings as an observer on behalf of the Eclipse Foundation.
For composition of the Steering Committee, please refer to the Charter and a reminder the Eclipse IDE List of Projects will serve to identify committer members eligible for nomination and will also serve as the constituency for the election should one be required.
Through this email, we are announcing the Eclipse Foundation will hold an election on behalf of the Working Group. All committer members are encouraged to consider nominating and self-nominations are more than welcome. The nomination period is open and runs until December 1, 2021.
Nominations should be sent to this mailing list with the subject line of “Eclipse IDE Steering Committee - Committer Member Election Nomination”.
