[eclipse-dev] Vote for Committer status for Paul Webster has started
|
eclipse Committers,
This automatically generated message signals that John Arthorne has
nominated Paul Webster as a Committer on the eclipse project. The reason
given is as follows:
I would like to nominate Paul Webster for commit rights on
org.eclipse.core.expressions (Unix group "plat-exp"). Paul has been
contributing fixes to this bundle for a couple of years now, including
major new feature work to implement reference expressions (bug 176395).
Other fixes include bug 188485 and bug 234919. As a major consumer of
expressions as owner of the platform commands infrastructure, Paul is in a
good position to identify and resolve future bugs and enhancements in
expressions. Paul also actively answers user questions related to
expressions on various Eclipse newsgroups.
Note: the portal doesn't seem capable of nominating a candidate in this
component (see bug 249648). Therefore, please only vote on this nomination
if you are in fact a committer in the "plat-exp" group (hint: if you're not
Swiss, you probably don't qualify).

The vote is being held via the MyFoundation portal: voters *must* use the
portal for the votes to be properly recorded. The voting will continue
until either all 83 existing Committers have voted or until they have been
given enough time to vote, even if they do not do so (defined as at least
one week). Paul Webster must receive at least three +1s and no -1s for a
successful election.
Eligible Committers must cast their votes through their My Foundation
portal page (do NOT just reply to this email; your vote will not be
correctly recorded unless you use the portal):

allow for processing of paperwork. After that time the election will be
expired, regardless of its current status. Should papework processing on
the part of the candidate take more time than allowed, a new election will
have to be held.
