Actually yes CSS works in 3.4.x.  However, to style CTabFolder in an RCP app /workbench you need 3.5 M5.

I know you got it working, but just to make sure the information gets repeated.

Right now, e4 is built against Galileo M4.  When M5 is declared, we'll
move up to M5 (since Eclipse SDK M5 is not compatible with Galileo
M4).  Some components, however, are fine on the SDK M5 (like CSS, XWT,
Modelled UI+EMF, SWT ActionScript, and Resources).  XWT Tools and some
of the examples won't install on the SDK M5 until Galileo M5 is
released.

I think some components, like CSS and XWT would run fine against 3.4.x/Ganymede.
