RE: [dsdp-pmc] About removing committers

Process question:  What happens if a committer wants to stay on a project but does nothing?  The charter seems to say that the PMC has final discretion.  What is the precedent with other projects?  Give the committer X months to do something and then vote?  Just curious.  Bjorn has pushed on the planning council members in the past to clean up inactive committers.

We can proceed with this.

It would be nice to have Marius to continue committing, but he jumped out from SW development to project management so I am quite pessimistic that he will "ever" write code anymore...

Committer rights are attached to a person, and do not disappear as the result of a change in employment. You need to contact him and find out his intentions. If he wishes to continue as a committer, that would be great.

I lost one guy from my Nokia team and at the same time he stop being in practise Eclipse committer.

Should we just remove his committer rights or should that be voted also?

I am basically just checking if there is some process to follow...
