Re: [dsdp-mtj-dev] MTJ 1.0.1 Scope

Then we should probably list the support as Carbon/Cocoa, if that is what the underlying Eclipse supports. My concern is that we should not have any Carbon dependencies in MTJ itself as Carbon is not supported for 64 bit systems.

Eric,
While Carbon has been deprecated, it is still available. Galileo was
the first release that had a Cocoa port, so previous versions must
support Carbon. Did we not provide support for 3.4 with the 1.0
release?

Gustavo,
Please check the Window System for Mac OS X. I believe the
systems you are using are actually Cocoa, not Carbon.
Note that Carbon has been deprecated by Apple, and should not be
used in any product.

Hi MTJ,
We’ve being working to
see a good scope to our next
release (that Will happen with Galileo SR1). Since there is not a lot
of time
between now and then, the plan that we can commit is to focus on 3 main
areas:
-
bug fixes
-
documentation
-
build system
There are a lot of bugs
opened after 1.0 release and
probably more will come. We are committed to address as mush as
possible of
them and have the fixes on SR1
I’m working on a project
plan that I hope to be closed
in the following weeks. The first draft is available here.
Feel free to send comments.
If any other company is
interested to do some contribution
on SR1 time frame, please send and email to the list that we can see
how to
make it happen.
