Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] 'latest': yeah! how about 'next'

How about creating a 'next' alias best practice?
I apologize if my previous reply ceated the impression that I think a stable URL for some kind of "next", "snapshot", "upcoming" repo is not useful. I do have my doubts about a general naming policy for these repos but I do think that every project should have some stable URL for this kind of repo. I have the impression that many/most projects already have something like this, but especially for the release train I can't find it. There's the staging repo(s), but they don't seem to have a stable URL. Their path includes the release name, e.g., ".../staging/2021-03/".

---> Concretely, what about a "releases/latest-M" composite and perhaps a "staging/latest" composite?!

I wouldn't care about the names of these composites, as long as they're stable...
