Thanks Lars for the solution - yes, but partially - I've captured the issue in the bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=549953#c24
And if we are going ahead with removal, would really love to have a migration guide from your side - of migrating from Navigator to Project Explorer.

Hi Manoj,
you can remove the "Java output folder" filter in the project explorer.
Does that solve your need?
