[cross-project-issues-dev] Status and outlook for Luna!
|
I do not feel that it is safe to do this now. I will fix it as soon as the new version of Eclipse is released.
David:
I opened https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=437123 to fix the window builder issue.
Is it Wednesday yet? Just barely (in my
timezone) so "one day left" to make contributions to the final
Luna build (RC4).
Everyone's "enabled" and in
the build (thanks BIRT team) ... so that's good.
Some of the "repo
reports" are not as good
as they should be ... but ... that's true from my perspective every year.
But, If you can fix anything on the
last day, that'd be good ... or, maybe some of these are fixed and those
with a +3 day are planning to fix them all up "tomorrow" (Wednesday).
The follow reports, are the most important
(IMO) ... with a brief status given ... and, I am aware there bugs in some
of the reports so not all "errors" are really errors.
"about.html" files: (reports
"10 missing" .. but, think 4 of those? are ones the report is
wrong about ...

34 unsigned jars seems like a lot: appears
most are from 2 or 3 projects ... so maybe those are "coming in"
on +3 day?

Feature licenses (SUA) ... makes me
sad to see 5 that have "none", but I almost feel worse about
the 67 with "old" ones. (We were hoping it'd be more "automatic"
to update).

Nested packed jar files ... having zero
was in reach, but looks like we won't make it:
http://build.eclipse.org/simrel/luna/reporeports/reports/verifydiroutput/nestedjars.txt
4 part version numbers: To end on a
positive note, we've got that one nailed (finally ... in past years, there
was always one or two 3-part ones)!

I hope you find some of the other reports
helpful or interesting ... but think the above are those most likely to
impact end users.
Looks like we are on a good track to
release on time, though, and for that, my thanks to you all!
