I think they're coming back as they are restored, so you might not have permission until the directory is fully back?

I believe we just need to wait for his all clear before trying things.

when trying to run my promotion script (in order to prepare the GEF 3.8.2 release), I run into the problem that file permissions do not seem to be properly restored on /shared, i.e. I am for instance not allowed to access /shared/jobs/gef-maintenance.
