Greetings folks!
The list of projects participating in the Juno release is here [1].
Note that only projects that have flipped the "juno" bit in the
simultaneous release field in the project metadata are shown. If
your project is participating, you need to flip the bit (see Bug
365738 [0] for a discussion on whether we should just make last
year's projects automatically in this year's release).
If you've entered a release in your project metadata on the June
27/2012 release date, then that release number is also shown (note
that an entry will appear for each release you specify; e.g. the
Eclipse Project).
Note that only the "main" projects participating in the release are
listed here. If your project participates in the release as a nested
project under a parent, then it doesn't appear on this page. It
will, however, appear on the "descriptions" page [2]. Note that the
descriptions page looks a lot cooler (and is generally more useful
to the user/analyst/press community) if your project has a
description [3].
For the release, I expect to receive a single IP log for each "main"
project (that includes any nested subprojects) and a single release
review document (that also includes information for all nested
projects). Note that projects are not strictly required to release
with their participating parent; if it makes sense to you and your
community for the project to release separately from the parent
project, go for it.
You are required to provide a project plan (please include a link to
the project plan in the release record in the project metadata).
If you need help getting this stuff sorted out, ask. I think that I
do a generally good job of being helpful. As we get closer to the
release date, you should also consider adding a link to a "new and
noteworthy" document on the release record. I'll update the project
list page to include a link to these documents if they're present.
FWIW, I have some ideas to make maintaining releases and the project
plan a lot easier with the new project management infrastructure
[4].
Thanks,
Wayne
