I'm not sure about the terminology, but CDO at least "packs" the jars (since they are not originally packed on Orbit).
Strangely my build sometimes "produces" packed jars and sometimes not. I've only realized that now and I have no clue what can cause this. I'm not aware that I ever changed any respective configuration (I even don't know how to do that). I checked that it happend in the past, so I wonder if you've had trouble because of this already?
