Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Status of Ganymede M7 ....
|
To be pedantic here, the main trouble experienced here is one where the features would not be properly categorized in the UI when browsing in a site view.
This does not prevent the installation to succeed, it just makes the discovery of the feature a bit more difficult and force you to use the filtering mechanism like shown in the N&N (http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/S-3.4M7-200805020100/eclipse-news-M7.html#Equinox)
The other thing is that this only happens when connecting to old-style update sites and will not happen when the ganymede build starts producing p2 metadata.

Thanks Kim and others for getting us "green" again.
I'd like to remind everyone to test the staging area ...
http://download.eclipse.org/releases/ganymede/staging/
I'm having some trouble getting it to work with P2, even though the legacy Update Manger seems to work fine
[now, there's something I thought I'd never say :) ]
Also ... as Nick reminded us, please update
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Ganymede/Signoffs#M7_Status
Today is the last day (+3 day) for Ganymede M7 code, so please let us know via this list if you are going to be late!
