a bug number would have been nice :) [but I'm fine without it]). 

I myself am personally fine with this
update to Europa maintenance site. 
In fact, it sounds like these two bugs
are just the kind of bugs to fix there, since that's where the bug is!

And, they would be "blocking"
bugs. 

BTW, the reason I do 'care' is that
there are other projects and even products! that this could effect, so

I just wanted to understand the extent
and effect of the changes ... and, I think everyone else should care too
:) 
... I'm not just being my usual nosey
self.  Some dependent projects or products might have to retest, etc.,
in some 
circumstances, so it should always be
spelled out when the maintenance site changes. (And, only done 
for the worst bugs, that can only be
fixed there, etc.) 

Thanks very much Bjorn for handling
the mechanics and keeping us all informed. 

P.S. Sounds like both of the bugs should
have been caught in some easy testing of the maintenance site ... 
wonder what we could do better? 

P.P.S. How could Buckminister lose it's
own update site files? With no backup? (I happen to know 
eclipse.org is pretty good about that
:)  But ... I'll take a don't care attitude towards that one. I'm
fine with 
their plans.
