The solution to 'bad things happen during the midnight build' is to not run the build between 00:00 and 01:00 EST.

Can CC be configured to blackhole that period of time, and not even try to run builds when the server is rammed?

Thanks for looking into that Markus. We changed the Mylyn ganymede update site not realizing that a build was running. Subsequently the Mar 13, 2008 00:13:29 GMT build failed since it was looking for an old Mylyn version. Looking at the logs it seems that thereafter the build kept failing due to unrelated I/O errors leaving the staging site in an inconsistent state.

The build status for the staging site is now green again:

 http://build.eclipse.org/ganymede/

Hopefully the next ganymede epp build will go through.
