Re: [cdt-dev] [] Eclipse infra update

I am somewhat interested. It would be nice to have some metrics for the purpose of code cleanups, etc. I don’t have a lot of time to develop big features or complex bug fixes but a few small issues here and there in Sonarqube could be interesting to tackle.
I’m not sure what we need to do to get this up and running again?
With the old version, the problems were mostly fiddling with our pom.xml to have jacoco work correctly, use a Sonar maven plugin compatible with the server, etc. I’m assuming that most of this is still valid.
Then there is the occasional bug with Sonar plugins itself (crashes on uncommon language features, new Java versions, etc).
It would also be good to know which Sonarqube version Is running in SonarCloud to replicate the setup locally and figure out the problems more quickly.

Below is mostly an FYI.

However the last point of SonarCloud is interesting. Our last successful SonarCube run was in May 2018 and the job has been disabled for almost that long. It would be nice to have this up and running again, but I am not sure there is much call for this. Comments welcome.

Greetings committers!

A quick Infra status update for your reading enjoyment. Disk Space

Our mirrors are noticing the imposing size of our downloads. At 1.5TB we are taking about 1TB too much. Please move (to archives)[1] your older releases and purge nightly builds. Please note: we will be implementing disk quotas on in the future. has more info.

GitLab Sandbox

We've set up a GitLab sandbox at GitLab is a modern, full-featured and integrated dev toolbox, including Git, code review, issue tracking, Wiki and more. We plan on enabling GitLab for new projects early in 2020. Please see for details and to track the effort.

SonarCloud to replace SonarCube

Our in-house Sonar instance, which is available as a benefit of the Eclipse CBI (Common Build Infra) will soon be deprecated and replaced by SonarCloud. Using the hosted platform aligns with our vision of leveraging hosted services where possible, allowing us to focus on areas of service that provide more value to you.

Thank you for reading. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to comment on the bugs, or to reach us at webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxx.
