Re: [cdt-dev] Upcoming CDT 9.5.5 release

Hi Nate,

Sure thing, I plan to do the release Monday, so please do add anything in that you would like released :-)

9.5.5 is very (very!) likely to be the last release on the 9.5.x branch.

Hi Jonah,

If we're going to have a 9.5.5 release, would it be all right if I backported a parser fix [1] to the 9.5 branch as a ride-along? It's another issue with parsing gcc 8 standard library headers that was recently reported. I wasn't going to ask for a release for it as we're nearing 9.6, but if we're doing a 9.5.5 anyways, I think it would make sense for it to ride along.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Nate

Subject: [cdt-dev] Upcoming CDT 9.5.5 release

Hello folks,

I have scheduled a CDT 9.5.5<https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.cdt/releases/9.5.5> release for Monday 19 Nov to fix one critical bug<https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=541069> affecting the GNU MCU Eclipse<https://gnu-mcu-eclipse.github.io/> Plug-ins. There are also a few other issues<https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.cdt/releases/9.5.5/bugs> that have been resolved too.

Also please remember that 2018-12 M3 is being released the following week, Monday 26 Nov, so this is the last week to get any fixes in before the Release Candidates period.

Thank you,
Jonah
