Good news.  I posted a fix for the ccache issue to master.  I'll let you and Jonah decide if you want to add it to the 9.5.1 (I will start a cherry-pick in gerrit

but won't commit it to cdt_9_5).

BTW, to close the circle on the CME issue, it turns out the user was using the CDT 4 generator from CMake. It doesn’t work. It generates a project so old, it doesn’t have the managed build nature so CDT thinks it’s a Core Build project now and gets very confused.

Thanks! It sounds like that bug. Although it was made more severe because under some condition, the welcome screen would always show up. But I cannot reproduce it right now. I'll keep an eye on this.
