[cdt-dev] CDT 8.8 feature freeze in 3 weeks

Hi all,

as we learnt last year the SR1 release comes quite quickly.
RC1, which is feature freeze, is Monday August 17th, which
is in a little over 3 weeks.

The SR2 release, CDT 8.8.1, will be a maintenance release (no features).

CDT 9.0/Neon, in June 2016, is the next feature release.

The current plan is to create the 8.8 branch August 24th, after RC1, and
open master for CDT 9.0 development.
