| RE: [cdt-dev] CDT Summit Hotels |
Hi
Chris,

If you
go for Ruby Foo's you won't need to rent a car, you can walk to Ericsson,
overall it shouldn't be a big difference in cost and it will be easier to go
to the special event.
A
metro station is also less than a block away from the hotel (2 or 3  min.
walk) so you can go to many places in Montreal very efficiently
with worrying about traffic. The hotels near the airport do not have metro
station.
You
can always get a 100 $ room at Ruby Foo's but it won't be a deluxe
renovated room.

Well Ruby Foo's is out of policy for us, and about $40 a night more
expensive than our corporate rate at other places nearby, so it would be hard
  for me to stay there.
I'm booked in here: http://www.qualityhoteldorval.com/.
It's 4 km from the Ericcsson
  office.

Since we
are planning to go out for dinner and maybe even organize a special event
(depending on sponsorship) it could be more convenient if most people stay
near Ericsson at hotel Ruby Foo's

I got my travel approval today but haven't booked. I think
what I priced out was near the
  airport.

Hey gang,
I want to
reserve my hotel for the summit and was wondering where
everyone else was
  staying. Unfortunately almost everything on
Dominique's list is out of
policy with my corporate travel system. The
hotel near the office works
thought: Hotel Ruby Foo's, but almost
looks too cheap :).
Also,
could you revisit the wiki page and if you are not certain
you'll be able
to make it to Montreal to either move yourself to the
"Possible" list or
remove entirely. We'll need an accurate picture of
who'll be there as we
  get closer to
  Sept.
Thanks,
Doug.
