[cdt-dev] RE: Wiki page for Multi-core debugging in CDT

Oh yeah, the wiki page is here http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/designs/MultiCoreDebug
and can be accessed from the CDT 8.0 planning page.

Subject: [cdt-dev] Wiki page for Multi-core debugging in CDT

Hi all,

we have talked more than once about supporting multi-core debugging in the CDT and I think CDT 8.0 is the place to make it happen.

I think input from the community will be essential to be able to obtain a valuable set of features.  To make this easier, I have created a wiki page to gather and document efforts to support multi-core debugging.  People can add suggestions and requests to that page.

I would also like to move Pawel's multi-context wiki page from the DD project to the CDT wiki (http://wiki.eclipse.org/DSDP/DD/MultiContext)

As an example of a feature, I am suggesting to use the GDB 7.1 core information to show the cores in the debug view on which a thread was running:

I would appreciate input/feedback on this stuff so we can focus on the most valuable features for the community.
I think this would be a nice topic for the CDT summit also.

Thanks

Marc
