My guess is that 6.3 may not support --all-values
Try this from a shell:
gdb
(gdb) interpreter-exec mi "-var-update --all-values var1"
Do you get some formatting error printout?
Also, which CDT? Because on HEAD, the only place I found that uses
-var-update --all-values was for DSF-GDB on Mac, which is weird
since you are on Linux.
