[cdt-dev] Error: Failed to execute MI command.....

Hello, 

I am trying to debug my code but keep getting the Error showing up in the
Variables window under Value. 

Failed to execute MI command: 
-var-update --all-values var39 
Error message from debugger back end: 
mi_cmd_var_update: Usage: NAME. 

Sometimes I will get a value but as I continue to step through the program
it always return to the above error message. I have no idea what to do. 

Help!
