RE: [cdt-dev] CDT 5.0.2 RC1 and 6.0 M5

Title: Re: [cdt-dev] CDT 5.0.2 RC1 and 6.0 M5
I've added a comment to the bug. I did this a long time ago and forget some of the details. Essentially, don't break MinGW launching, i.e. if you are using the MinGW toolchain and click the shortcut, the Lauch config should be set to the MinGW debugger.

Doug,

I still have one more bug on my list for 5.0.2 but it needs some feedback from you:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=246201

Thanks - Ken

Wascana seems good too. The debug remains horrible due to the incompatability between MinGW gdb 6.8 and the CDT. It really needs pending breakpoint support. But everything else worked.

I'm good for CDT 5.0.2.

Doug.

I had a great experience with CDT 5.0.2 RC1 on Linux x86_64  (although I can really use a pkg-config import to setup cluttermm's 12 or so  include paths :( ).

I'll try Wascana as well.

I updated the bug (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=252966)  with some comments. Right now I'm not committing this until that issue is  resolved.

As far as I know this should not be a blocking issue, but  if anyone thinks it should be, please speak  up.

I'm looking at the patch right now...

I don't think James'  commit rights have been fully instated  yet.

Hi James,

Are you planning to commit this to HEAD today?  If so, let me know and I'll run another build today for M5, if no one  objects.

Hi Vivian,

For API  compatibility we should probably have the patch on Bug  252966
committed... It's not a blocker for me, but others who rely  on
ICDescriptor.getProjectData() may not be so  happy.

Cheers,

James
