[cdt-dev] Concept of a "Solution"
Hi,
Is
there a concept of a container that allows you to group projects such as a
"Solution" in Visual Studio that can contain several project that are part
of a larger project (hence solution in MS terminology).
[Mikhail]
There is no "Solution" concept in eclipse. The only "container" grouping
projects in eclipse is a workspace
On similar lines, is it
possible to specify the build configuration from a main "Project" menu or
the context menu in the projects window? Currently, we need to go through
each project in the workspace and change them all manually to switch from
debug to release builds.
[Mikhail] The CDT/MBS 3.1allows changing the
project active configuration both from the project context menu, "Active
Build Configuration" sub-menu of the "Project" menu and "Active
Configuration" tool-bar. It is also possible to select multiple projects
and set active configuration of a given name for all of them in case all
the selected projects contain configuration of that name. With the New
Project Model we're going to present the configuration concept CDT-wide, so
the same functionality will become not only Managed Build specific, but
CDT-wide.

Maybe I am missing something
here.
Thankyou. Delicia.
