The second point has been corrected. You may give a try at the new version of the Basic Viewpoints.

Regarding the first point, it is difficult to answer all the cases. For example if you consider the two following cases:

 

 

In the first case, the mass will be calculated at C3 level. In the second one, the mass will be calculated at C4 level. But we cannot choose automatically which component C1 or C3 the mass of the link is related to.

J’ai fait un essai rapide et je relève deux points :

1.    Dommage que l’on ne puisse pas mettre un poids sur les liens (les câbles, cela pèse !)

2.    Je suis gêné par le fait d’être obligé de remplir la valeur max sous chacun de mes composants fils pour éviter d’avoir un dépassement. J’ai donc mis la valeur max de mon composant parent sur chaque composant fils. Mais dès que je veux modifier la valeur max du composant parent, je suis obligé de modifier toutes les valeurs des composants fils. C’est très rébarbatif et long. J’aurai bien vu qu’un max à 0 (ou -1) sur le poids permettent de ne pas avoir un dépassement de poids.

 

Hi all,

I try quickly this week end, and i had two remarks :

1.    No mass on link

2.    Each sub component need to have a max value not to be in red (over-mass). I set the max value of all my sub component with the same value than the main component, but if I want to change the max value of the main component, I need to change also the max value in all the sub component. It may be useful not to be in red (over-mass) if mass = 0 (or -1).
