Hey Scott,
Is this really that bad? We certainly didn’t intend to
cause anyone a “navigation nightmare”. The goal was to provide every
user a role-based mechanism to getting their Eclipse package. (You can find the
contents of each package here.)
The top right nav is shown below, and gets you to the BIRT
download in two clicks (“By Project” -> BIRT)

If this isn’t good enough, the place to start is the Eclipse Packaging Project. They’re
the ones currently defining the packages.

Subject: [birt-pmc] Eclipse Downloads
I
finally started working on getting BIRT running on my Ubuntu machine as part of
the community certified tagging. While downloading, I went to the main
Eclipse download page.
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads
It
looks like things have changed. They now have five featured Europa
packages.

While
handy for people wanting one of those packages, it has moved the BIRT download
to a bit of a navigation nightmare. Do we want to petition the foundation
to get the BIRT All-In-One listed as one of the featured Europa Packages?
If yes, who should take this up? I am happy to talk to the webmasters if
no one else wants to do it.
