Re: [aspectj-dev] 1.1.0 release - AJDT build available

I've created an AJDT development version from the AspectJ 1.1.0 George built, and uploaded it to the AJDT development update site. (http://download.eclipse.org/technology/ajdt/dev/update). It's at version no. 1.1.3 so if you've previously installed that level from dev you'll need to uninstall it first for the update manager to detect the new files.

We still have more work to do on some AJDT bugs before putting out an AJDT official release, but this version will be good for testing the 1.1.0 compiler from inside eclipse. I hope that a full AJDT release will lag AspectJ by no more than a week - but it doesn't look like we'll be ready to go this week at the moment.

Enjoy!

Subject: [aspectj-dev] 1.1.0 release

Hi,

Earlier today I made and tested a 1.1.0 build. The extract was made right after Wes' docs changes. The build output and test results are now available in the CVS folder org.aspectj/releases/aspectj-1.1 . To summarise...

* The JUnit tests all went smoothly apart from the known glitches that came to light earlier this week.

* The harness tests all passed successfully across Sun 131, IBM 131 and Sun 141 JVMs.

* Installation and post-installation testing was fine on my Windows XP and Linux (Red hat 8.0) machines.

If the consensus is that this build is good enough for final release then I can get the aspectj-1.1.0.jar placed on the download site pretty quickly.

Best regards,
George
