  • Thread-topic: [acute-dev] aCute looking for maintainers, or project will terminate soon

Hi Mickael,

Apologize for my prolonged inactive although I had answered one or more issues, due to being drowned into other work things last year.

Thank you for your reminder.

I really would love to maintain this project because it’s also used heavily on my team’s projects, but I agree I have been not so active.

I’m going to start being active immediately, if you don’t mind.

But I may not be active on daily basis, so I understand if my reason is not quite strong enough to justify my intent to continue this project.

Aside from that, I would love to start to contribute to this project as my team and I are going to ensure compatibility with .NET Core 3.1 and the upcoming 5.0 because as far as I know Omnisharp itself has had major updates especially for upcoming .NET Core 5.0.

Therefore I’d be glad to have this project not terminated,  even under new maintainer other than me.

Again, many thanks for the great reminder.

PS: if the project is decided to be terminated or not, I’d love to networking with you all 😊

Best regards,

Eriawan Kusumawardhono

Subject: [acute-dev] aCute looking for maintainers, or project will terminate soon

Hi all,

Eclipse aCute (C# development in Eclipse IDE with OmniSharp language server and NetCoreDbg debug adapter) didn't receive any functional contribution for a long time. More than a year ago, we tried to involve a new lead to take care of the work, but this didn't improve the state as this person didn't actually contribute any code to the project, rarely answered questions on the tracker, doesn't triage issues...

Concretely, no-one is doing anything for aCute, and as mentioned earlier our team @Red Hat doesn't plan to do more.

I suggest we start thinking about a termination review for this project, but acting towards it, here is the last call: if you're seriously interested in maintaining aCute and are able of doing it properly, then please answer this ASAP.

Cheers
