Dear all,

we are starting with the migration process from admin-shell-io to the Eclipse Foundation.

The project structure within Eclipse Foundation will look like:

1.
https://github.com/eclipse-digitaltwin/aas4j,
will contain the following repositories from admin-shell-io

i.      https://github.com/admin-shell-io/java-model

ii.      https://github.com/admin-shell-io/java-serializer

iii.      https://github.com/admin-shell-io/java-serializer/tree/main/validator

2.
admin-shell-io/java-generator
will be migrated to  https://github.com/eclipse-digitaltwin/aas4j-model-generator

3.
admin-shell-io/aas-transformation-library
 will be migrated to https://github.com/eclipse-digitaltwin/aas4j-transformation-library

Additionally, please note the following decisions:
-
Use https://github.com/admin-shell-io/java-serializer as basis for
https://github.com/eclipse-digitaltwin/aas4j and add
https://github.com/admin-shell-io/java-model. Meaning add a “model” folder into
https://github.com/eclipse-digitaltwin/aas4j and add
 the content from https://github.com/admin-shell-io/java-model
-
W.r.t. versioning:
-
Software and (AAS) model version number are independent
-
AAS4J from a software perspective starting:
-
V.0.1.0: migrated code from admin-shell-io
-
V.1.0.0: when AAS model V3 RC02 is supported
-
AAS4J from a AAS model perspective
-
Currently mix up of V3 RC1 and RC2 (V.0.1.0 in AAS4J)
-
Next release V3 RC02
-
Namespace must be updated to “/v3rc02” instead of “/v3”
-
Group ID: “io.admin-shell.aas” zu “org.eclipse.aas4j”
-
Adapt CI (note: aas4j-model-generator might be more challenging)
-
Github/Admin-shell-io: notice users and community that the work is carried on in Eclipse AAS4J

Please, refer to the minutes attached for further information.

In the future, we will organize calls to align with the community.

If you have any questions, please contact any of the project lead teams.

Best,
Thiago (On behalf of project lead team)

Best Regards / Beste Grüße,
