The first release candidate for the GEMS EMF Intelligence framework has
been posted. GEMS EMF Intelligence no longer requires the GEMS graphical
editor libraries and can work with any EMF model.
GEMS EMF Intelligence is a framework designed to help you reason about
your EMF models. The framework provides a knowledge base that you can
assert EMF modeling elements into. Once modeling elements are asserted
into the knowledge base, you can add constraints to relationships, such as
EReferences, between model elements. Finally, you can use GEMS EMF
Intelligence to derive valid endpoints (other objects in the knowledge
base) for relationships of a modeling element.
GEMS EMF Intelligence has built-in support for constraints written in OCL,
Prolog, Groovy, and BeanShell. Further constraint languages can be
plugged-in by extending a simple interface. GEMS EMF Intelligence can also
be used to reason about non-EMF objects.
