PDT 2.0 is now available! [message #87817] Mon, 29 December 2008 08:14 Go to next message

Eclipse PHP Development Tools (PDT) 2.0 is now available from the
Eclipse.org download site or from the Zend/PDT Community site (includes
Eclipse PDT and Zend Debugger which enables users to perform local and
remote debugging).

The Eclipse PDT team would like to thank everyone who made this release
possible. As always, our Eclipse PDT community has provided countless new
features, bug fixes, documentation, etc. We'd also like to thank the
Eclipse Dynamic Languages Toolkit team for cooperating and helping us with
the new infrastructure.

Very nice!

http://wiki.eclipse.org/PDT/Installation still points to the interim
site though. I believe the correct one is for 2.0 only (without
/interim). To make it even simpler it would be nice to integrate this
with the update site of the previous version...

Best regards,
Andreas

Is there a changelog? What's new?

FYI, I've fixed the release notes so that there's no longer a "2.0.0GA"
and "2.0.0" release as well.

Roy, great news on the release but I believe you have to do an official
release review before you can offer a sanctioned 2.0 release for
download. This is part of the Eclipse development process... I would
check with the Tools PMC and your project mentors for more information.

Cheers,

~ Chris

Well, since it is the first time I hear about it - I am surprised...

I am willing to help and push things as fast as possible to make sure the
process is done fast. I will also email the PMC and emo about this.

Thanks for notifying me.
- Roy
