Hi,
I would like to know what is currently the recommended or best approach to build an update site for (non-RCP) eclipse applications (e4)?
Especially important is that I can specify dependent update sites so that during the update process all dependencies are installed seamlessly.
I built update sites before using the "update site project" (with the site.xml), but this has limited capacities in specifying dependent update sites.
I'm lost when it comes to "p2", "RCP", "tycho" stuff.
Can somebody please tell me what I want to do? Any pointers would be welcome.
Thanks
Joel

Hi
in these days of Tycho buildings I still prefer Buckminster for RCP and
p2 repository creations; it can be used both in the IDE and
headlessly... you find documentation
(http://www.eclipse.org/buckminster/) and some tutorials on the web (you
also find some in my blog).
hope this helps
cheers
