Eclipse not connecting to Internet [message #772355] |

I originally had a problem updating software, and posted a question here:
http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/271342/
However, now I've found that Eclipse simply cannot connect to the Internet. I'm seeing errors in the log that indicate that eclipse cannot access any outside network.
This leads me down the road to assume my proxy settings aren't correct, and in going into my Network connections preferences, I can see this to be true. My proxy is pointed to the proxy that was used when I installed Eclipse, it has since changed. But now I cannot figure out how to change it.
The Native Provider for my proxy are both checked, (http https) and I cannot edit or uncheck them. I can add the correct proxy settings into the Manual box, but I cannot check them. When I try to check them, the check appears and almost instantly dissapears.

In the Network Connections provider, I had to change the Active Provider dialog box to Manual, which, I am now able to access the internet. However I would still like to know how to change the Native proxy.
Secondly, I am now getting the following warnings:
http(s) is set to {my old proxy} but should be {my new proxy}
Where do I change this?
