Dear All,

Version 2.8.2 has been officially released. This version is based on Eclipse 2023-06 (4.28).

Dedicated update site is https://download.eclipse.org/objectteams/updates/ot2.8/202307181937

Also the market place entry has been updated.

During the development towards this release a considerable number of bug fixes and a few enhancements have accumulated as can be seen in this list: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?classification=Tools&list_id=21363292&product=Objectteams&query_format=advanced&target_milestone=2.8.2

I haven't yet published the corresponding maven artifacts, but will work on this now.

Internally, this release also serves as a baseline, before our code will migrate to gitlab (see this eclipse-wide announcement: https://www.eclipse.org/lists/eclipse.org-committers/msg01356.html).

Maven artifacts have been uploaded, too, see https://download.eclipse.org/objectteams/maven/3/sites/objectteams-otdre-parent-pom/usage.html

Unfortunately, I forgot to update the version on this usage page, so please don't be confused by the recommendation to set <version>2.7.6</version>, it should say 2.8.2.

Also note, that now you need to run maven on Java 17 to use the OT/J compiler.
