[eclipse.org-committers] Status update: Gerrit/Git/Bugzilla Deprecation, other updates

Greetings committers and project leads,

In April 2023, we will begin migrating those projects still using Gerrit & Bugzilla, towards the project's choice of either GitHub or Eclipse GitLab. We have selected 15 projects to migrate, and we'll proceed on a quarterly basis (ie, select 15 more, notify and schedule in one quarter, then perform the migration in the next) until all projects have been migrated around June 2024 (or earlier).  If your project would like to migrate on a timeline that works better for you, please file a HelpDesk issue [1]

The effort is part of our Services Deprecation Plan, which has begun in January 2022 and is scheduled to run until 2026.

Also proposed, but not yet planned, is the MediaWiki deprecation [2]. As GitHub and GitLab both support Wiki-with-the-code-repositories, we feel this migration will be a great opportunity for projects to refresh stale content, clean up, and move the content closer to their project code.  We will be investigating a migration process and propose a schedule for migrations in the months to follow.

We understand that these migrations are time-consuming, and we're here to assist in making them as simple and unobtrusive as possible.
