Ashok/Patrick/Tim-

FYI, here is the summary they sent out of the Dali meeting. Sounds
like the Dali & Versant projects really are going to merge.

> All,

> I would like to again thank those who were able to make it to all
> or some of the Dali meetings last week. I think they were a big
> success and feel confident that we have the ability to deliver an
> outstanding component to the Eclipse community. We are also very
> excited that Versant has joined us in this now fully collaborative
> effort to build frameworks and tools for EJB3.0 persistence.
> Attached are several documents that were created or refined during
> the meetings last week. They include a draft milestone plan
> leading up to a mid-year 0.5 release, a more detailed iteration
> plan for iteration 1 plus the beginning of iteration 2, and a live
> meeting notes document that was used to capture issues and
> decisions throughout the week.
> Feel free to send feedback and ask any questions you may have.
>
> As part of the Eclipse process, and since the JSR220-ORM project
> joining the Dali project is no longer a secret, I will be posting
> this information to the Dali newsgroup for the purpose of
> openness. Project information can now flow freely through the
> standard Eclipse channels which includes our Dali dev list, the
> newsgroup, bugzilla, and the website. We should use these channels
> to discuss and document project features, communicate decisions,
> status and schedules, etc. In order to pass our Checkpoint Review
> and Release Review, we will need to demonstrate that our project
> functions in the open and acts as part of the Eclipse community.
> Please help me in creating that openness by using the communication
> channels described above when appropriate.
>
> I look forward to working with all of you as we head toward our
> first release.
> Neil
>
> PS - I'd like to propose a high-level status meeting on Tuesday,
> Jan 31 at 16:00UTC for all those who wish to attend. We have
> decided to hold a high-level status meeting at least once a month,
> in addition to our daily dev status meeting. Minutes from the high-
> level meeting will be mailed to the dali-dev list.
