WTP PMC,

As per defect approval rules for 0.7, I would like to request approval for
defect 93437 and 105083.

The defects has been reviewed by Chris Brealey to verify its urgency and the
fix is implemented, reviewed, and tested.

Defect 93437:

We are not able to deploy ANY Web service to Axis 1.2.1 runtime on SLES (Suse Linux Enterprise Server) 9.0.
It works for RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) 3.0 and on the Windows platform.

The error was due to Axis code does not recognize the IP v7 format of "0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1"
as being localhost's address (equivalent to 127.0.0.1 in IP v6). Remote administraton is
not permitted by default (as defined in the template server-config.wsdd shipped in axis.jar),
so the "unauthorized" error appears when trying to deploy Web services to Axis.

The workaround is to modify server-config.wsdd in axis.jar in the org.apache.axis plugin
(containing Axis 1.2.1 JARs) to enable remote administration. This is done by setting the value of the "enableRemoteAdmin" attribute to "true".

The same workaround was done in order to have the Web services wizard support the Axis 1.0 and Axis 1.1 runtime.

Defect 105083:

Need to update the about.html file and the comment section of the plugin.properties file in the org.apache.axis plugin to reflect Axis 1.2.1 license info.  Those files currently contains Axis 1.1 license info.  This update
is necessary for WTP0.7.

Please discuss, vote, or feel free to ask any further follow up questions.

WTP PMC,

As per defect approval rules for 0.7, J2EE would like to request approval for defect 94602.

The defect has been reviewed by our team and server tools to verify its urgence and the fix is implemented, reviewed, and tested.
See the defect for further details, but the gist of why this is so high priority:

This problem presents the user with a very bad change
management issue (in our case w/ CVS) as this .deployables code should never
be checked in...without this fix the user will be prompted to check in all the
code (with the exception of the .classes which are marked as derived via the
java builder).  This inconsistency will cause problems for anyone else who
checks out these partially released .deployables code and could cause future
build issues.

Please discuss, vote, or feel free to ask any further follow up questions.  The development contact is Derek Holt, dfholt@xxxxxxxxxx.

Title: [wtp-dev] Seeking approval for 105059

WTP PMC,

As per defect approval rules for 0.7, I would like to request approval for
defect 105059.

The defect has been reviewed by Craig Salter to verify its urgency and the
fix is implemented, reviewed, and tested.
This defect is so high priority because it's a regression on the frequently
used function - content assist on XML files based on XML Schemas.
The fix is low risk: removing obsolete code that produced undesired effect
of truncating "file:" protocol from the schema URI.

Please discuss, vote, or feel free to ask any further follow up questions.
The development contact is Ella Belisario, ebelisar@xxxxxxxxxx.
