[wtp-pmc] WTP Help System

I regret to inform the PMC that IBM
is unable to contribute Help text to WTP at this time, contrary to my earlier
indications. The reason for this reversal is the concern about reintegrating
product-specific Help into the contributed generic Help, and the desire
to adopt the newly available, "Dynamic Help" capability provided
by Eclipse 3.1.

The implication to WTP is that we must
revise our Help plan. I suggest the following:

1. Focus on scenario based Help. These
can be adapted from the tutorials and test scripts that are currently available
on our Web site.
2. Ask developers to provide Reference
level Help.
3. Appoint Lawrence Mandel as the Help
system editor. He will pull together the scenarios and reference material,
and build the Help system.
4. Recruit additional writers from member
companies and the community to work on the Help system.
