[wtp-pmc] Fw: AXE Proposal.
|
Tim,
Please put this on the next PMC agenda.
Olivier,
I think it would help if you included
an example of using Axe to create an editor. Would it be possible to do
one for the J2EE web.xml file? I'd like to compare the effort required
for this using Axe versus SWT. Thx.
Also, what do you see as the advantages
of using Axe versus SWT and Java? Thx.

Olivier,
Thx. I'll circulate this for comment.
PMC+Craig, please review and comment.
Let's consider this for inclusion in WTP 1.1. It could be applied to the
creation of form-based editors for J2EE deployment descriptors and other
XML documents.

Arthur and Naci,
We worked, with David, on the AXE proposal for the web tools, and here
is a first release.
Could you tell us what do you think about it, and if you would like to
have more information.
Best Regards.
Olivier & David.
