Thank you for using Winery!
I'm not quite sure why the build does not complete on your machine. One quick-fix, if you want build it from the code, would be to exclude the line 108 in the pom.xml in the root file ("<module>org.eclipse.winery.topologymodeler</module>") since this package is deprecated.
Another possibility would be to use our docker-imgae. We have a fork of the Eclipse repository at https://github.com/OpenTOSCA/winery where we integrated a docker build. If you want to use Winery you can get the docker-image by running "docker run -p 8080:8080 opentosca/winery".
As a second alternative, you could use the whole OpenTOSCA ecosystem (http://opentosca.org). It enables you to model TOSCA definitions using Winery, as well as running and managing TOSCA applications using the OptenTOSCA Container. You can find more information on how to run the ecosystem in docker compose at https://github.com/OpenTOSCA/opentosca-docker.

Recently I started looking into TOSCA and came across Eclipse Winery.
I got code from https://github.com/eclipse/winery
I am using Ubuntu 16.04, Node, npm, Java, maven is installed already.
After I run "mvn clean install" from inside project root directory i.e winery-master I get following error

Note:
I have also tries installing "bower install" it works fine. but when I
try "mvn clean install" it fails
